As I was making my usual weekend endeavour over to the forgotten cottage, munching on the lovely brances there, the strangest thing happened this morning.

A human being was sitting outside the house, her fingers busy with a little flat thing with a screen attached to it. As I was chewing away the goodies, I kept wondering, what kept her so busy. Here´s this place filled with nice green stuff, and she´s stuck with that thing that her fingers keep tapping in different ways.

Anywho, all of a sudden she wasn´t that busy anymore. Instead she approached me and made a lot of noise. I don´t like noise. That was so rude of her, I decided to jump away over to the other side of the island.

Who does she think she is? We´ve been claiming this spot all summer this far and it hasn´t disturbed anyone. Why does she have to come here all of a sudden? This is my spot!

Now, did you know that roe deers can scream? I didn´t until five minutes ago.

Yesterday, as we woke up here in the archipelago cottage, there were two deer munching away just outside our house. That´s never happened before. I´ve seen deer here on the island plenty of times, but figured they just don´t come close to the house when we are here.

Now I wonder what´s up. Are they trying to take over? Because last night, as I was sitting outside the house, typing away on my laptop, another deer came up. As I stood up and approached it, it jumped away.

Then later last night, I heard some noise from another direction and that turned out to be a badger! I´ve never seen a badger before in my life (only the traces of them). My god, what´s happening here? When I made noise it went hiding underneath the terrace but just wouldn´t go away.

And this morning, another deer comes close to our house. As I take it´s picture it stares at me for a long time. When I try to scare it away, it starts sceraming at me. Come on! You guys are supposed to be afraid of me! Finillay he runs off, but keeps screaming and stares at me from a hill further off.

Is this a conspiracy? I better lock upp properly when I leave later on today.

Yesterday it was time to celebrate our wedding with friends and family, since they didn´t get to be there when we said the magic words. I´m so grateful for the wonderful evening that we had and for everyone making it another special day for us. The rain stayed away, the little castle was adorable, the dinner was wonderful and the party mood was on top!

When Lisa came home from the grocery store, Ben wasn´t there yet. She didn´t think much of it, eventhough she probably should have. She went into the kitchen and started unpacking. She had planned a really nice dinner, as always for their special Friday nights. Once every month Lisas parents took care of the kids, then it was only the two of them.

She picked up the meat with a content smile on her face, she had really managed to pick a great piece this time. She had turned on the oven and started preparing the food, as she heard Ben coming in through the front door.

- Honey, how was your day? he said.

She probably should have heard it there already, but she didn´t. Maybe because she didn´t want to. She had planned the whole night, already picked out a move for them to watch and even gotten some nice new scented candles earlier that week, with this evening in mind.

- Good sweetie, how are you? Look, I got this really nice dinner for us tonight.

- That´s great honey, said Ben.

That´s when she heard. He was doing his best to cover that he had forgotten. Again.

- I´m just going to finish some work stuff. What time do you want to eat?

What did it matter?

Lisa looked at Ben, then back to the piece of raw meat in front of her. Then she looked back at him and then back at the meat again. She swallowed very hard and managed to hold back her impulse to pick up the meat and throw it right at him. Instead she layed down the knife, walked over to the sink and washed her hands.

- What? Honey...?

Lisa finished washing her hands without a word.

- Talk to me!

Then she turned around, walked passed him, picked up her bag and jacket and left, still without a word.
